About this watch
The Cartier Tank Must, reference WSTA0040, is the extra-large expression of one of the most iconic watch designs in history, a timepiece that has defined elegance since Louis Cartier first drew its outline in 1917. This certified pre-owned example from 2024 is offered in very good condition and comes with its full original set, including box, papers, and all original accessories.
Crafted in polished stainless steel, the WSTA0040 presents the Tank Must in its commanding extra-large format, with a perfectly proportioned rectangular case measuring 41 x 31mm and a slender 8.4mm profile that slides under a cuff with the kind of effortless grace only Cartier can deliver. The crown is set with a synthetic spinel cabochon, a quintessentially Cartier detail that lifts even the smallest element of the design.
The silvered flinqué dial is a masterpiece of restraint, with a subtle guilloché texture catching the light across its surface, bold Roman numerals, a date aperture at 6 o’clock, and Cartier’s iconic blued-steel sword hands providing a crisp, elegant contrast. A dial that has never needed to shout to be heard.
Powering the watch is the Cartier Calibre 1847 MC, a manufacture automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve, bringing mechanical soul to the Tank Must’s most sophisticated size.
The watch is delivered on a crocodile leather strap with Cartier’s interchangeable steel deployant buckle, completing a package of understated luxury that is as wearable as it is timeless.
Available now at Montreva, this certified pre-owned luxury watch is a rare opportunity for collectors of pre-owned luxury timepieces in Zürich.
A pre-owned watch in Zürich that has been turning heads for over a century, and shows no sign of stopping.
