Buying a pre-owned luxury watch in Belgium

Belgium reads in three languages and buys in all of them. Antwerp has traded in precious things for five centuries, so nobody there needs a lecture about provenance. We write in Dutch, French and German, and the condition report says the same thing in each.

Import VAT

Belgian import VAT of 21 percent is charged when the parcel enters the country and is paid by you. Swiss watches normally carry no customs duty when the origin is documented, and the paperwork travels with the watch.

Common questions

Which language will you deal with me in?
Whichever you prefer. The site, the condition reports and the invoices exist in Dutch, French and German, and you can write to us in any of them or in English.
What does Belgian customs add to the price?
Import VAT at 21 percent, charged when the parcel arrives. Customs duty on watches of Swiss origin is normally zero when the origin is documented, and we supply that documentation.
